The 2021 Home Health & Hospice Gala! is back! Join us in person this fall for an unforgettable evening in celebration and support of 50 years of care of the community from NCHHHA.
This year, our gala will be held at the Omni Mount Washington Resort, located in the majestic White Mountains of Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. Rich with history, the grand ballroom offers a perfect backdrop for our gala. Festivities will begin at 5PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 with an après hour and opening bids for our silent auction. Guests will be seated at 6PM for a culinary delight. After dinner, auctioneer Mike Kopp, will take the stage to present live auction items. The evening concludes with dancing the night away to the music provided by the band Brandy, a 2020 Wedding Wire top pick! The silent auction will continue throughout the evening, offering guests time to peruse the vast array of items offered, courtesy of North Country businesses and North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency partners. This fundraising event is an opportunity to showcase your company with exposure to over 300 local business leaders and event attendees, as well as show your commitment to the 26 towns that we provide service to in the Granite State.
About the Beneficiary:
Proceeds from the 2021 Home Health & Hospice Gala! will benefit the many programs we offer to our community, ranging over 26 towns, within Coos and Grafton county and beyond. Each year we are able to provide clinical care to approximately 1,500 patients within their home, offering therapeutic support and rehabilitation programs. Studies have proven that the home health model is effective in promoting a healing environment at a fraction of the cost of an institutional setting and with less risk of infection. Similarly, we provide an annual average of 250 hospice patients with transitional support within the comfort of their own home, on their terms with their loved ones. Our staff work to provide comfort & pain support, advance directives & end of life planning, as well as spiritual and bereavement guidance. We have also introduced a new program, known as palliative care, which is available to our community at no cost. This program was created to fill the gap in support for individuals living with chronic, serious, or life limiting illnesses. Our providers and social workers work together to offer an added layer of support to these patients and assist with healthcare navigation, pain support, and care planning.
Thanks to your support and commitment to our agency we are able to continue to grow our programs, in particular our Palliative Care program. These funds help cover out of pocket costs that our agency incurs for medications and supplies for our Hospice patients, they bridge the gap in reimbursement in our Long Term Care program and allows us to cover the costs for staff certifications for Home Health, Hospice and Palliative Care.
